Karen F. Goodhope, M.D.

Dr. Goodhope joined Central Radiology Group in 1989. She has been on the medical staff of Forest Park Hospital (formerly Deaconess Central Hospital) since 1989, Des Peres Hospital (formerly Deaconess West Hospital) since 1992. Dr. Goodhope received her B.S. from Beloit College, Beloit, Wisconsin, in 1976 and her medical degree from Southern Illinois University, Springfield, Illinois, in 1980. Her residency was completed at Bay State Medical Center, Springfield, Massachusetts in 1983. From 1983 - 1984 Dr. Goodhope completed a fellowship in nuclear medicine at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology. In 1984 Dr. Goodhope was certified by the American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Radiology. In 1985 the American Board of Radiology and the American Board of Nuclear Medicine jointly acknowledged a Special Competence in Nuclear Radiology and in 1989 was certified by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine. Dr. Goodhope is married. She lives with her husband and twins in St. Louis County.

Julian N. Verde, M.D., F.A.C.R.

Dr. Verde received his bachelor's degree from Rockhurst College in 1958 and his medical degree from Saint Louis University Medical School in 1962. His internship was completed at Cincinnati General Hospital in 1963 and completed his residency in 1969 at St. Louis City Hospital. In 1974 Dr. Verde became one of the founding members of Central Radiology Group. He has been on the medical staff on Forest Park Hospital (formerly Deaconess Central Hospital) since 1969, at Des Peres Hospital (formerly Deaconess West Hospital) since 1992. Dr. Verde has been an Assistant Clinical Professor of Radiology at Saint Louis University Medical School since 1982. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine. In 1988 Dr. Verde was elected as a Fellow of the American College of Radiology. He is the former president of Central Radiology Group and former Chief of Radiology at Forest Park Hospital. Dr. Verde has held various offices in the Missouri Radiological Society, including President. From 1963 to 1965 Dr. Verde served in the United States Air Force. Dr. Verde is married and lives in St. Louis County.

Paula George, M.D.

Dr. George received her bachelor's degree from William Jewell College, Liberty, Missouri in 1982 and in 1982 she did additional studies at Oxford University, Oxford, England. Her master's degree in Biochemistry was awarded in 1984 from the University of Kansas Medical Center. In 1988 she received her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Kansas Medical Center. From 1988 to 1994 she attended Duke University, Durham, North Carolina completing her internship in internal medicine, her residency in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in Abdominal Imaging - CT, MRI, Ultrasound. In 1993 she was certified by the American Board of Radiology. Dr. George worked for Fort Wayne Radiology Association, Fort Wayne, Indiana from 1994 to 2002. In January 2003 she moved to St. Louis to join Diagnostic Imaging Associates, LLC at St. Luke's Hospital. In September 2005 she joined Central Radiology Group and continues in that capacity today. Dr. George is married and lives in St. Louis County with her husband and three children.
